At Sekolah Rendah Sathya Sai (SRSS), Human Values are not taught merely as concepts to be memorised, but are nurtured through everyday experiences, relationships, learning, and service. From the early years, students are encouraged to practise values in their daily lives, helping them grow into compassionate, responsible, disciplined, and well rounded individuals.

The school’s educational approach is rooted in the five universal Human Values of Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love, and Non Violence. These values are integrated into classroom learning, morning activities, school programmes, interactions among students and teachers, and opportunities for service.

Highlights of this distinctive programme include:

Morning Assembly

The morning assembly provides a meaningful start to each school day. Through prayers, stories, reflections, quotations, songs, and sharing sessions, students are encouraged to begin the day with positive thoughts and values.

Students are also given opportunities to participate actively in the assembly by presenting stories, sharing messages, leading activities, speaking in front of their peers, and showcasing their talents. Through these experiences, they gradually develop confidence, leadership, communication skills, discipline, and a sense of responsibility.

The Five Human Values

At the heart of SRSS's educational philosophy are the five universal Human Values:

Truth

Encouraging students to be honest, sincere, and truthful in their thoughts, words, and actions.

Right Conduct

Guiding students to practise good behaviour, responsibility, discipline, and respect for others.

Peace

Helping students develop calmness, self control, patience, and harmony in their daily lives.

Love

Nurturing kindness, compassion, empathy, friendship, and care for others.

Non Violence

Encouraging students to respect all living beings, avoid harm, resolve conflicts peacefully, and live harmoniously with others.

These values are not confined to a single lesson. Instead, they are reinforced throughout the school experience so that students learn to understand, practise, and live the values in their everyday lives.

Learning Through Service

Service is an important part of the Human Values experience at SRSS. Students are encouraged to look beyond themselves and recognise the needs of others and the wider community.

Through activities such as helping others, caring for the environment, participating in community initiatives, and working together on service projects, students learn that education is not only about gaining knowledge but also about using what they learn to make a positive difference.

Character Building Through School Life

Everyday interactions at SRSS provide opportunities for students to practise Human Values. From showing respect to teachers and friends, keeping the school environment clean, working cooperatively, helping younger students, and taking responsibility for their actions, students learn that even small acts can reflect great values.

The school believes that true education should develop the head, heart, and hands, nurturing intellectual growth, emotional and moral development, and the ability to put good values into action.

Through this holistic approach, SRSS strives to develop students who are not only academically capable, but also confident, compassionate, responsible, respectful, and ready to contribute positively to society.
